Escherichia coli, Aspergillus Niger. These tempting sounding names are of bacteria and fungi. Their forms are also enchantingly beautiful, but danger lurks.
There is no place for comfort in the installation ‘Home Sweet Home’. The furniture is decaying; it slithers, it shines, it sucks and entices. The decay is visible and tangible. Are beauty and repulsiveness interchangeable? I frequently use the seeming contradiction between those concepts in my art objects and videos. ‘Home Sweet Home’ is easy to admire, but difficult to enjoy. Nothing is what it seems.
